Today my brother and I went for another hike over in Placerita Canyon. This time we hiked the Waterfall Trail. It is a short hike....only 1.2 miles round trip, but it takes some energy and burns some calories as it is steep and you have to climb some rocks to get there. The trail starts out in a green meadow and climbs up the side of the hill. Soon you enter a narrow canyon with tall rock cliffs on both sides. A wet-season creek runs down the middle of the canyon. You finally come to a dead end at a 25 ft. waterfall. Last week I heard there was a lot of water coming over the falls, but since we have not had rain in about 5 days, the creek has gotten smaller which means there was not as much water at the falls. But it was still very pretty.
Had a fun weekend with my brother and got in some execellent cardio exercise.
Here is a video I took while we were hiking the trail:
That looked like a good place to hike. It also looked like a place of serenity. Thanks for sharing. Helen
ReplyDeleteReally enjoyed the video. It looked like a green and peaceful place to hike.
ReplyDeleteIt's green now but in about a month, it will be dead and brown again, then we go into our fire watch season.
