Hank Williams Sr. (real name Hiram King Williams) born in 1923.
One of the biggest country stars of all time with songs like "Hey Good Lookin'", "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry" and "Cold, Cold Heart".
Hank led a hectic life with booze and women. He died at age 29 in 1953 of heart failure.
His biggest hit was "Your Cheatin' Heart".
I wasn't raised with the music of Hank Williams Sr. but over the years, I have hearned enough of his recordings, to declare I am a fan !
ReplyDeleteMusic City, ( Nashville) has a whole museum wing dedicated to his music, it's awesome !
By the way, I've been experimenting with photo shop....
Who could forget Hank--and "Your Cheatin' Heart"???? Great song... Too bad he died so young. His sone (Hank Jr.) doesn't have nearly as good a voice as he father did, I don't think.
