Got a letter from Kaiser yesterday asking me to come into the lab and have some blood drawn monitor my blood pressure medication Lisinopril. I guess this medication can deplete your potassium levels and damage your kidneys. I have never had a medical provider have me come in for this reason before but it sounds like Kaiser really is into "preventive medicine" which is a good thing.
I drove over to the lab this morning right after it opened. There was already 4 people in front of me waiting for blood work. I only had to wait about 25 minutes to be called in and I didn't have to fast for this blood work, but I thought this cartoon was funny and wanted to share it.
That is funny and so true most of the time. Hope yours will be a good report.
ReplyDeleteI rarely go to the doctor myself but sure have had to wait on behalf of my Mother! Drove me nuts ... especially when I was still working and had to get back to work.
ReplyDeleteWell---that's good that someone is interested in making sure that your 'numbers' are all okay. We had our physicals recently --and they found out that I was anemic. I'm now taking 3 Iron pills a day... Glad they found it --and I'm correcting it... Hopefully, your medication hasn't caused you any trouble.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Betsy
