Was dark and gray all day here. The rain storm is supposed to his us sometime tomorrow (Saturday). Got up, had breakfast and then took Hiker on a 1 mile walk around the neighborhood. We then headed up to PetSmart so I could buy her a car seat belt harness because there have been two times she has been thrown onto the floor due to someone cutting me off and me braking. She does NOT like the harness, but she will have to get used to it as it was not cheap. I got a good one made by Kong. Left PetSmart and headed down to Sam's Club to get gasoline and to pick up some bulk things I needed. Got home and Hiker was acting very “sheepish” and I'm sure it had to do with the harness. I put it back on her to try to get her used to wearing it around the house, plus I took her for a short walk with the harness on. She still does NOT like it, but she will have to get used to it. The clouds here never did burn off. If it rains tomorrow and Sunday like they are saying, I guess Hiker and I will just stay in all day and watch movies.

I'm sure Hiker will get use to her new harness. It is for her safety. My Goldie Girl has been thrown off her seat once too.
ReplyDeleteI think that taking her for walks with the harness on it good, she will be wearing it while she is doing something she likes, hopefully she will adjust to it.
ReplyDeleteI bet when Hiker finally associates the harness with going in the car she will be okay with it. So glad you have her to keep you company in this hard time.
