Went to my grief support group today. The first hour, only 6 of us plus our therapist was there. Usually we have at least 12 or 15 people. The second hour, 2 more regulars showed up plus 2 new women (a mother and daughter) joined us. The daughter had just lost her son in an auto accident. We had some very good conversation in today's group. Jane and I were the only ones to go to lunch after group. Everyone else had other commitments. Jane and I went to the historic Saugus Cafe for lunch and we talked about the history of Santa Clarita. There was a lot of it that Jane didn't know and I told her that we'd have to plan a few days where I drive her around and show her the historic sites. Was hazy all day even though the sun came out after noon. Still wondering if we are going to get the rain they are predicting for tomorrow.
It's always fun to tour historic sights. Hope you get a good day to do it.
ReplyDeleteI would love to be in the backseat of your car, Kay, listening to all the history of Santa Clarita & looking at the sights. Have a wonderful & educational time with your friend! I'm sorry not that many were at the support group today but I'm glad the mother/daughter came. Losing a son to an auto accident.... *sigh*..... your groups sounds like just the place these 2 women need to be. God bless them as they grieve.
