Pretty Much An Uneventful Sunday

Got up at 6:00 am to let Hiker out to go potty and it was totally cloudy, but when we got up at 7:30 am, the sun was out. Had waffles and sausage for breakfast then I vacuumed the carpet. There was not quite as much dog hair this time. Maybe Hiker's shedding is slowing down. After I finished vacuuming, took Hiker on a 2 mile walk. Baked some banana nut muffins this afternoon. Made the house smell really good. Took another 1.8 mile walk in the late afternoon. The sun could not make up its mind today. First it was cloudy, then the sun came out by mid-morning. Got cloudy again right around lunch time and then the sun came out again in the middle of the afternoon. I finally tried to make a dinner menu for this coming week. Got a few of the days decided. Now I just have to remember to get things out of the freezer to thaw. Ben and I used to do both lunch and dinner menus because he was still working 3 days a week and he wanted different sandwiches on his work days and then we would sometimes go out for lunch on his days off. Plus he was the one who would remember to get things out of the freezer, so I'm going to have to make sure I do it. Made a shopping list for tomorrow. I'll head over to Wal-Mart early to pick up my groceries and hopefully find some different things to eat.

While out on our morning walk, I saw these clouds and thought they looked like toes.

    The idea of making a menu list is a good one. I need to get into that practice.

    Glad you made an effort at the meal planning. We love grocery shopping so we look out for sale meats. We always have rice, pasta, beans, frozen and canned veggies and all sorts of sides so...we pretty much do quicky meals during the week (hour or less in prep and cook time) and have to remember to thaw ahead day by day to avoid defrosting in microwave. We cook the longer more involved meals on the weekend.

    Those clouds do look like a big white footprint coming over the horizon. lol
