Ben's Eye Doctor Follow-up

Got back from Ben's appointment around 10:00 am. The traffic going down there this morning was the worst ever. Anyway, the doctor said his eye is looking good. Ben could see the doctor hold up 2 fingers and some movement, so the doctor said that was good. He gave Ben more of the eye drops to continue taking until we see him again in  to 5 weeks. He told Ben the eye will never be 20/20 again, but it will be better than it is now. He said next year he will probably have to do the cataract surgery and also remove the oil bubble that he put into Ben's eye during surgery. We then went over to the Kaiser Information Office and Ben signed up for State Disability for the time he's off work. Doctor told him he can go back to work on November 15th

  4. Eyes are amazing things ... one sure doesn't want to be without them. Me Mither has macular degeneration and is legally blind. I don't want to go the same route!!! So I take eye vitamins ... when I remember. I did so better at vitamins when D was alive ... I'm hopeless on my own.

Hope Ben's eyes are almost as good as new real soon.
