Some Good News

It was 39° on my patio this morning when Hiker and I got out of bed at 6 am. There was ice on the neighborhood roofs. I know for my friends on the east coast that 39° would be a blessing.
Jean picked me up at 8:15 am and we headed down to Kaiser for my appointment with my retina specialist. He was so pleased. The last injection did its job because the seepage in my eye has stopped and the swelling in the blood vessel was completely gone. He said my eye looks perfectly normal, except for the Macular Pucker that I still have. The only thing that can fix that is surgery and it’s the kind of surgery that they avoid unless it is absolutely necessary. So the cloudiness in my right eye is gone even though I still see everything “distorted” from that eye.
After we left Kaiser, we headed to our local Kaiser Pharmacy to see if my prescriptions for my B/P meds were ready for pickup, but they weren’t, so we then went to Kohl’s, then to the Dollar Tree, then to the 97 Cent store and then we went to eat a brand new burger place called Phat Burgers. The burgers were delicious!
After we got back home, we took the dogs out for a walk because they had not been out together since I got sick. We let them play in my yard for about an hour and they had so much fun chasing each other.
It was 80° here today, sunny and very windy.

  1. That is wonderful news about your eye. Thank goodness the treatments worked. Sounds like Hiker had fun with her friends.
